CAA AWARDEES
OF THE CAA MENTOR-SCHOLARSHIP
Nele Schwierkus
The second awardee of CAA in 2009/2010 works in the field of visual arts. Nele Schwierkus, born 1979 in Berlin, studies at the UDK Berlin since 2004, from 2009 in the class of Florian Slotawa.
Her sculptural works focus on her environment and convince through humor, a playful interest in experimenting and an extraordinary sense for visual and acoustic presence of objects. Besides Nele Schwierkus consistent work, the CAA Jury has been persuaded by Schwierkus sensitive approach to her project in context with Campus Rütli, in which she will be working with scholars.
Nina Ender
Born in Erlangen in 1980, Nina Ender recently finished her studies of scenic writing at the Universität der Künste Berlin. Nina Ender has been chosen by Barbara Burckhardt (CAA Expert for theater) in collaboration with the jury of the playwright-competition and the CAA Board. Besides receiving a monthly amount of 900 €, Nina Ender will be aided in practical concerns.
The network of CAA will help with contracts or access to different stages and directors for example. Nina Ender will use these six month to work on her second playwright. CAA friends and supporters will accompany Nina through this process in three events to gain a close insight look in her work.
