#19 Lecture at Home

We welcome Dr. Winrich Hopp (Head of Musikfest Berlin) and Dr. Margarete Zander (music journalist, author and CAA expert for contemporary music) to talk about the horn, the main theme of musikfest in Berlin. For Robert Schumann the horn is "the soul of the orchestra." The festival program reflects this: Johannes Brahms and György Ligeti perform a trio of horns, the E-flat horn concerto by Richard Strauss, with the post horn episode of the Third Symphony of Gustav Mahler, the new horn concerto by Wolfgang Rihm and the "Hamburg Concerto" by György Ligeti. Birgit Spießhofer and Eugene King, member of CAA Berlin, invite you into their private space.
