Dido & Aeneas

The production of both "Dido & Aeneas" at the State Opera in the Schiller Theatre on May 15th. Sasha Waltz together with her ensemble of dancers, musicians, singers and soloists she developed the opera "Dido & Aeneas" by Henry Purcell. The complex world of emotion is the starting point of this choreographic Opera by Purcel. Sasha Waltz focuses on the two main characters in the story, the Carthaginian queen Dido and Aeneas who fled from Troy and their tragic love story that ends with the death of Dido.
